The cellulose may be first reacted with the sulphuric ester of 4-hydroxyethylsulphonyl-2-amino-anisole and the product diazotized and reacted with 2-methyl-5-vinyl pyridine in the presence of acetic acid and ferrous sulphate. The cellulose may be in the form of fabric, yarn or paper.ALSO:A fire-proof material is produced by treating a graft polymer derived from cellulose and 2-methyl-5-vinyl pyridine with a 0.5-1% solution of phosphoric acid at 20-60 DEG C.
