Zusammenfassung:A graft polymer derived from cellulose and 2-methyl-5-vinyl pyridine is modified by treatment with a 0.5-1% solution of phosphoric acid at 20-60 DEG C. The cellulose may be first reacted with the sulphuric ester of 4-hydroxyethylsulphonyl-2-amino-anisole and the product diazotized and reacted with 2-methyl-5-vinyl pyridine in the presence of acetic acid and ferrous sulphate.
