Zusammenfassung:100,767. Wright, A. L., and Smedley, F. I. Jan. 14, 1916. Corves; doors, wagon; sides.-In a mining-tub having one end wall of less height than the other walls to facilitate loading, sliding plates or boards are provided to complete the height of the wall when the tub is loaded or in transit. In one arrangement, Figs. 1 and 3, a single plate f is adapted to slide in guides c from a position in front of, to a position above, a fixed plate d. To the upper edge of the plate d is secured a strip e which covers the joint between the plates d, f when the latter is raised, and is formed with catch-pieces g to retain the plate f in raised position. The plate f is fitted with handles k and carries a reinforcing-strip h at its upper edge, and its upper corners are cut away at f to clear distance-pieces j. In a modification, Fig. 5, two sliding plates r, o are employed in conjunction with a fixed plate l. The upper edge of the top plate r, fitted with handles s, is adapted to engage beneath catch-pieces q secured to the middle plate o, which can thus be raised until its upper corners engage behind catch-pieces x, and then lowered into position above the plate l. The plate r is thereupon placed in position above the plate o with cut-away portions at its lower corners fitting over distance-pieces y, to which the catchpieces x are secured.
