Zusammenfassung: | Acrylonitrile polymers of improved dyeability and antistatic properties are made either by polymerizing acrylonitrile alone or in admixture with other monomers, in solution in dimethyl sulphoxide, or by dissolving a preformed polymer of acrylonitrile in dimethyl sulphoxide, said dimethyl sulphoxide containing starch, starch fractions, amylose, gelatine, and/or a non-polymerizable metal salt. The examples describe: (1) polymerizing acrylonitrile in dimethyl sulphoxide containing amylose in the presence of ammonium persulphate and lauryl mercaptan, (2) dissolving polyacrylontrile in dimethyl sulphoxide containing amylose, and (3) dissolving polyacrylonitrile in dimethyl sulphoxide containing calcium, cuprous or stannic chloride. Films and fibres are made from the solutions. |
