Zusammenfassung:	A fraction consisting of or rich in 2, 41-dichlorodiphenyl is isolated from the mixture of chlorodiphenyls obtained by chlorinating diphenyl in known manner. Examples are given. Compositions containing at least 20% of 2, 41-dichlorodiphenyl in association with other polychlorodiphenyls, e.g. fractions containing 3,3,41-, 2,5,21-, 2,3,21- and 2,6,211-trichlorodiphenyls or tetrachlorodiphenyls, may be used as dielectric materials, alone or with other compatible materials, and examples of their use are given also.
