L'invention concerne une cuve du lave-vaisselle comportant une paroi inférieure (2) rendue solidaire de manière définitive d'un châssis (1) inférieur, une paroi supérieure (6), deux parois latérales (3,4) et une paroi de fond (5), chacune en matière plastique moulée, caractérisée en ce que au moins l'une des parois latérales (3,4) et de fond (5) sont creuses et constituent ensemble un réservoir tampon (R) d'attente de l'eau destinée aux opérations de lavage.
