Zusammenfassung:	Vehicle safety device designed to cut off a main electric circuit (1), comprising: - an autonomous triggering element (20) designed to be part of said main circuit, and - a pyrotechnic circuit breaker unit (40) comprising: - at least one electrical conductor (5) connected to the autonomous triggering element, and - a severing device (30) which is configured to sever the electrical conductor and comprises a first ignition member (31) which is designed to actuate the severing device and is electrically connected to the autonomous triggering element in order to bring about a first ignition current (h) for the first ignition member (31) when the autonomous triggering element is actuated. The pyrotechnic short-circuit unit also comprises a second ignition member (32) which is designed to actuate the severing device and to be electrically connected to an electronic control unit (50) which is configured to bring about a second electric current (h) for igniting the second ignition member.
