La présente invention a pour objet une composition anhydre comprenant des particules exfoliantes, au moins un polyol en C3-C10 et au moins un polymère gélifiant hydrophile choisi parmi les polysaccharides, ainsi que l'utilisation de ladite composition notamment dans le domaine cosmétique comme composition exfoliante des matières kératiniques telles que la peau, en particulier du corps et/ou du visage, et des muqueuses telles que les lèvres. La composition selon l'invention présente une cosméticité très intéressante pour les produits de gommage. Elle permet d'obtenir de l'accroche sans ajouter de corps gras, en particulier des corps gras pâteux et/ou cireux, qui sont difficiles à stabiliser.
