Zusammenfassung:A cup (1) made of stamped sheet metal forming a hollow support for a damper strut (100) comprises: - a nipple (4), - a fold line (6) of the cup, forming a border between a support base (2) of the cup and edges (3) of the cup, - an upper face (7), - at least one edge (3), the edge(s) (3) of the cup forming a substantially cylindrical or conical portion around a vertical axis (Z), - and at least one recessed portion (8, 9). The upper face (7) of the cup comprises in particular: * a skirt portion (11), and * a substantially horizontal connecting portion (16), connecting the skirt portion (11) and the recessed portion (8, 9). The upper face (7) of the cup is crossed by a line of inflection (20), so as to decouple, at least partially, deformation experienced by the skirt portion and the nipple, from the at least one recessed portion (8, 9).
