Zusammenfassung:	The invention primarily relates to a rotary electric machine for a motor vehicle including: -a stator; - a rotor (12) including two polar wheels (24, 25) each comprising a plate (28) and a plurality of claws (29); - an air gap being defined between an inner periphery of the stator (16) and an outer periphery of the claws (29); - each claw (29) including a leading edge (54) and a trailing edge (55) extending between a base (56) and a tip (57) of the corresponding claw (29), characterized in that the air gap is increased by at least 25% in at least one area of intersection (61) between the plate (28) and a claw (29) of a corresponding polar wheel (24, 25) with respect to the air gap measured on a straight line (D) passing through the tip (57) of the claw (29) and perpendicular to the base (56) of the claw (29).
