The invention relates to a method for controlling an intercommunication system onboard a vehicle (100) comprising a plurality of seats (111, 112), each equipped with a sound reproduction device, said seats (111, 112) being distributed in rows in the vehicle (100), and at least a first sound acquisition device (131), the method being characterised in that it comprises steps of: detecting the reception, by a first sound acquisition device (131), of a voice message from a first vehicle occupant; controlling an analysis of the message, carried out by a voice recognition module, and identifying a second occupant who is designated in the message and is the intended recipient of the message; determining a first seat (111) and a second seat (112); if the first seat (111) and the second seat (112) are in different rows, then controlling a broadcast of the message by the sound reproduction device (122) of the second seat (112).
