Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a method for preparing a part made of copper, a copper alloy containing at least 60 wt.% copper relative to the total weight of the alloy, nickel, or a nickel alloy and coating said alloy part with at least one transparent layer having a thickness between 1 and 10 μm so as to protect said layer from chemical and/or mechanical stress. In said method, according to the steps for developing producing the alloy or metal in the foundry and for manufacturing the part, preparation of the surface of the part is carried out before applying, ontoat said surface, at least one main controlled-thickness layer of a sol-gel coating onto said part. Said coating is obtained from a sol comprising two precursors: ASB/GPTMS (aluminum tri-sec butoxide / 3-glycidyloxypropyltrimethoxysilane). A specific heat treatment is then carried out so as to enable densification of the coating. The parts covered by said coating have particularly attractive visual qualities and improved resistance to outer external stress.
