The method of discovering a set of sources defining WEB pages comprises: defining a user profile including - a list of URL addresses each defining a seed, and - a profile index; collecting a set of data from each page designated by a URL of the seed, said collection comprising defining a set of keywords, allocating at least one relevance index and indexing each keyword in the profile index; collecting the URLs of each WEB page explored; allocating a level of relevance to each page collected; calculating an exploration priority index for each URL; creating an ordered list of URLs according to their exploration priority index; and choosing a new URL to automatically explore a new WEB page.
