Screws (8) are provided for adjusting the upper plate relative to the lower base, so as to adapt the height of support of the rail, where the screws are screwed in the upper plate. Each screw includes a screwing end (82) located above the upper plate, and a supporting end (81) butted against the lower base. A rubber sole (10) is placed on the upper table intended for supporting the rail. An independent claim is also included for a method for supporting a rail of a railway track by using a support device.
