Zusammenfassung:The engine has a combustion chamber delimited by a cylinder (1) and a piston moving to and fro in the cylinder between a bottom dead center and a top dead center. The cylinder has an inlet valve connecting the cylinder to an air intake pipe (A), an exhaust valve connecting the cylinder to an exhaust pipe (E) and a transfer pipe (RP) provided with a selective closing and opening unit connecting the pipe to a pressurized pneumatic container i.e. main container. An auxiliary reserve (RA) receives compressed air remaining in the chamber at the top dead point at end of compression. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a pneumatic hybrid thermal engine.
