A ring gear (6) is formed of two independent gear segments (7-12), where each gear segment is provided with an inner peripheral surface and outer peripheral surface with a set of meshing units i.e. radial teeth (7b-12b). A circumference of the inner ring is equal to the circumference of the combination of independent gear segments. An independent claim is also included for a wind turbine.
