Zusammenfassung: | The method involves introducing to be purified gas stream (1), reducing reagent (3) e.g. sodium sulfite, and an oxidation inhibiter (4) i.e. sodium thiosulfate, into a wet washer (101). Quantity of the oxidation inhibiter introduced into the washer is controlled from the measurement of redox potential of a blowdown liquid residue (5) exiting the washer. Quantity of the reducing reagent introduced into the washer is controlled from direct or indirect measurement of concentration of the reducing reagent in the liquid residue exiting the washer. An independent claim is also included for an installation for collecting strongly oxidizing pollutants e.g. chlorine, chlorine dioxide, ozone and bromine, in gaseous stream containing nitrogen oxide and oxygen. |
