Zusammenfassung:	The device has a commutation cell (1.1) comprising a medium terminal (A) between two switches (K1, K2) and two extreme terminals (B, C). A bidirectional switch (4) is attached with the commutation cell, and mounted between the medium terminal of the commutation cell and a common node (N1). A control unit is attached with the bidirectional switch for controlling the device during alternating current-direct current (AC-DC) conversion. The current passes through the bidirectional switch when current comes from an AC source (2) for supplying the current to the commutation cell.
