Zusammenfassung:	The device (20) has branches (21, 22) gripping an edge of a piece (48) and including inner faces (24, 25) and outer faces (27, 28). Openings (33, 34) allow a screw (43) to pass through the branches. A nut (40) is secured to one of the outer faces and positioned opposite to one of the openings. The nut allows screwing of the screw, and a protection system (29) is formed by a cover (36) being fixed on one of the branches carrying the nut and partially covering the nut and by a rupture zone (39) that allows the cover to be disconnected from the branch when the screw exerts force on the cover. An independent claim is also included for a method for utilizing a fixing device. L'invention concerne dispositif de fixation (20) comprenant deux branches (21, 22) aptes à pincer le bord d'une pièce (48), les deux branches (21, 22) possédant des faces internes (24, 25) en regard l'une de l'autre et des faces externes (27, 28) opposées aux faces internes (24, 25), deux orifices (33, 34) aptes à permettre le passage d'une vis (43) à travers les branches (21, 22) et un écrou (40) solidaire d'une face externe (28) d'une des branches (22) et positionné en regard d'un des orifices (34), cet écrou (40) permettant le vissage de la vis (43). Le dispositif de fixation (20) est caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte en outre un système de protection (29) formé par une enveloppe (36) fixée sur la branche (22) portant l'écrou (40) et recouvrant au moins partiellement l'écrou (40) et une zone de rupture (39) anticipée permettant à l'enveloppe (36) de se désolidariser de la branche (22) lorsque la vis (43) exerce un effort sur l'enveloppe (36).
