Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a depressurization device (1) for a coolant circuit (15) installed in a vehicle, including a body (2) suitable for having a coolant (14) pass therethrough, said body (2) accommodating a depressurization means (3) suitable for lowering the pressure of the coolant, and a means (5) for bypassing the depressurization means (3), which is capable of opening when a pressure of the coolant upstream from the bypass means (5) is lower than a predetermined threshold. The invention also relates to the circuit incorporating the expansion device (1), as well as to the modes for operating said circuit. The invention can be used in motor vehicles.
