Zusammenfassung:	The device has non-return valves (34-36) and a connector (37) for serially connecting main cartridges (31-33). A starter cartridge (38) and one of the main cartridges are connected together in parallel to a metering unit (39). The cartridges contain solid salt to deliver a reactive agent i.e. ammonia gas. The main cartridges have virtually identical volumes of storage. The amount of reactive agent contained in the main cartridges is estimated based on the consumption of reactive agent determined through metering unit. The solid salt comprises strontium ammonia chlorine, magnesium ammonia chlorine and calcium ammonia chlorine. An independent claim is also included for a method for utilizing an injection device.
