Zusammenfassung:	The assembly (1) has a locking base (5) in which a flat cylindrical supporting rod (3) is inserted. The base comprises a plate and a retaining portion for locking the inserted rod by quarter-turn relative rotation of the base with respect to the rod. The retaining portion is a hollow cylindrical portion projecting perpendicularly to the plate. Tactile and/or visual markings are provided on the plate to visually indicate the direction of rotation of the base to lock the rod. The rod comprises lateral notches (30) that are uniformly spaced to serve as a guide mark. An independent claim is also included for a method for positioning a supporting assembly on a carrier element.
