The process of manufacturing a frictional piece made of carbon-carbon composite material, comprises producing (10) a preform of carbon fibers or a matrix of rough laminar type pyrolytic carbon, primarily (30) heat treating the preform at greater than 1800[deg] C, densifying (40) the preform by a matrix of pyrolytic carbon formed by chemical infiltration in gaseous phase, and finally heat treating (50) the preform at high temperature of 1550-1700[deg] C. The fibrous preform is produced by stacking of two-dimensional fibrous stratum made of carbon precursor fibers. The fibrous preform is produced by stacking of two-dimensional fibrous stratum made of carbon precursor fibers and bonding the plies together using needles to measure the stacking of stratum, and by carbonizing (20) the fibers to transform the carbon precursor fibers into carbon fibers. The needling of each new stacked stratum is produced with a density of >= 90 count/cm 2>. |
