Zusammenfassung: | The method involves heating a gas sensor (100) at a target temperature (T2), which is greater than activation temperature and less than a thermal shock temperature, up to a dew point end. Temperature of the sensor is determined and controlled by direct temperature measurement or indirect temperature measurement by measuring internal resistance of the sensor and/or heat flow of the sensor. Monitoring of the temperature sensor is triggered by a start signal that is provided depending upon internal resistance of the sensor that is made of ceramic material. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program for performing a method for operating a sensor for determining composition of exhaust gas in an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle (2) a computer program product with a computer program for performing a method for operating a sensor for determining composition of exhaust gas in an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle. |
