The hardware has a set of cards, and an orientation unit e.g. shading, for orienting each card with respect to each other in an assembly of cards constituting the set of cards and/or a common identification unit. The set of cards is divided into certain number of sub-assemblies corresponding to different tables of operations to be learned. The sub-assemblies corresponding to the assembly of the cards have a card identification unit between the cards for identifying the cards of each of the sub-assemblies. L'invention concerne un matériel éducatif pour la compréhension et l'apprentissage des quatre opérations arithmétiques de base telles que l'addition, la soustraction, la multiplication et la division.Ce matériel est un jeu de cartes et le recto des cartes le constituant comporte uniquement des nombres (1,2,3) présentant entre eux un rapport mathématique impliquant au moins l'une desdites quatre opérations arithmétiques de base.Chaque carte comporte également des moyens d'orientation de chacune desdites cartes les unes par rapport aux autres dans l'ensemble de cartes constituant ledit jeu de cartes et/ou des moyens d'identifications communs.Le jeu de cartes étant divisé en un certain nombre de sous-ensembles correspondant aux différentes tables des opérations à apprendre, chaque sous-ensemble correspond à un ensemble de cartes ayant entre elles des moyens d'identification desdites cartes de chacun desdits sous-ensembles.
