The fitting (10) has a support (18) for supporting an unit (12) i.e. air conditioning compressor, and mounted inside an engine compartment of a vehicle, where the fitting is made of aluminum by high pressure molding. The support is constituted of a protection unit for protecting a part of a fuel supply manifold (14) against shocks and extending along the supply manifold. The protection unit of the support is provided at a reduced distance from the supply manifold, where the support has terminals for fixing the unit.
