Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a method of repairing the roof (1) of a vehicle, the roof (1) being connected to the vehicle by at least one riveted joint holding together at least three superposed parts, one of these parts (2) being connected to the body, and another of these parts being the roof, the roof having one face ia in contact with a head (12) of a rivet (10), which method is characterized in that: the head (12) of the rivet (10) is removed; the roof (1) requiring replacement is taken off; a local weld is made at the edge of a cavity (8) left by the removed head (12) of the rivet (10) in order to join the first and second parts; and a new roof is placed in position and bonded adhesively in place of the removed roof (1).
