This invention concerns a process for the preparation of a biocompatible gel with controlled release of one or more active lipophilic and/or amphiphilic ingredients comprising a matrix based on one or several biopolymers with or without a functional group, in which in a first step, the lipophilic and/or amphiphilic active ingredient(s) are mixed in a homogenous manner, by dissolution in biocompatible alcohol or a mixture of biocompatible alcohols; in a second step, the homogenous mixture obtained in the first step is mixed with a biocompatible gel comprising a matrix made of one or several biopolymers with or without a functional group. Also described are gels obtained by the method of the present invention and their use in cosmetic and therapeutic fields.
