Zusammenfassung:	The discharge system (12) for a processing vessel (10) such as a crude oil distillation column with an ascending gas flow and a descending liquid flow consists of a transverse plate (13) with openings (14) for the ascending gas flow, and a trough (15) with an outlet (16) for the descending liquid flow. It differs by having a single guide (18) for the liquid flow beneath the plate, positioned so that at least part of the flow passes along its outer surface. The guide can be in the form of a chain, a tube, a spring with separate coils, or a tube with a spring round it and an inner heating and cooling element, and it extends parallel to the vessel's vertical axis.
