Zusammenfassung: | The decommissioning procedure for munitions (1) containing a safety and armament component (3) incorporating a primer (4) and connected to a body (2) containing an explosive charge (5) includes a first stage (A) in which the body is separated from the safety and armament component. The separation is made between the upper surface (7) of the explosive charge and a detonator relay (16) between the primer and charge in a cutting operation using water jets or laser to weaken the body and then applying a mechanical traction to separate the body. After separation, the safety and armament component is destroyed by incineration, e.g. in a furnace (9), and the explosive charge is burned inside the body.
