Zusammenfassung: | The filter (2) has caps (6) and a ceramic filtering material (3) having a porosity of 40 percent. The material is saturated with washcoat for retaining nitrous oxide in form of nitrates (4). The washcoat has a precious metal e.g. platinum, transition metal and lanthanide oxides and alkaline and alkaline-earth elements. The metal has a mass proportion between 0.01 and 5 percent with respect to total weight of the washcoat. An independent claim is also included for a method for catalytic filtration of particles contained in exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine.
