The case has a base delimiting a housing to receive a removable refill containing a cosmetic product. The base and/or refill define two snugs (20) disposed so as to immobilize the refill inside the housing at two distant points of the periphery of the refill. A key (40) has two beveled ends (42) to simultaneously engage with the snugs to release the refill at the housing. An independent claim is also included for a utilization of a case for the application of a cosmetic product.
