The connection between the side walls is made by utilizing extensions (12) of the side walls, which are rejoined tangentially at level of a closure zone (13). The extensions of the side walls extend from the closure zone, between the side walls, for forming a closed section (14). Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a method for manufacturing a drive and non-drive wheel axle of a motor vehicle (B) a motor vehicle comprising a drive and non-drive wheel axle.
