Zusammenfassung:The electrode consists of a core (2) of a dispersoid copper/aluminum alloy or an alloy of copper containing less than one percent of aluminum, boron, carbon and oxygen as additives, and a shell (3) of a copper-zinc or copper-zinc-zirconium alloy. The core can be positioned axially or eccentrically relative to the shell, which is basically cylindrical in shape with a truncated conical forward end (6) into which the core projects to form an active face (4). The manufacture of the electrode includes a bimetallic drawing stage carried out at a temperature of about 860 to 880 degrees C. The two alloys are connected by a thin solid solution, typically a micron thick.
