Material for making food product container has corrugated layer of paper and plastic to receive product

The material (1) consists of a corrugated layer (2) forming a series of grooves, glued to a flat layer (3) by a food grade adhesive. The corrugated layer is made from a sheet of paper (4) stuck to a sheet of a plastic material (5) that makes contact with the food product. The paper can be printed and the plastic transparent. The flat layer of material beneath the corrugated layer is made from two paper sheets glued together - an inner sheet (7) and an outer one (6) that can be printed. The grooved layer is corrugated after the paper and plastic sheets have been stuck together, and the material is cut out and scored for folding into containers.
