Zusammenfassung:The lock for a motor vehicle hood (1) comprises first (2) and second (3) components fixed respectively to the hood and vehicle body (4). The first component is principally a catch plate (6) with a flat surface (7) and a transverse pin (9), the catch plate being able to move between initial and extreme positions in the event of a collision between the vehicle and a pedestrian by the pin sliding in an elongated slot (10) and abasorbing mechanical energy. The security hook (13) of the lock is fastened to the hood, engaging with a stop pin (25) on the body and pivoting relative to the catch plate.
