Writing pen has supports for tip and capillary connector for ink formed integrally from sintered thermoplastic

The pen (10) has a housing with an inner reservoir (7) for ink and a writing tip (3) with a capillary connector for transfer of ink to the tip. The writing tip has supports to position it and provide a reliable connection with the capillary connection. The capillary connector and the supports are formed integrally (9) by sintering of thermoplastic powder. The invention relates to a writing implement consisting of: a) a body (2) comprising an internal ink container (7) and having a writing point (3) emerging from the front end (2a) thereof; b) a capillary connector which is used to transfer the ink between the container (7) and the writing point (3); and c) point support means which are disposed at the front end of the body in order to join the point and the capillary connector and to support same. Said capillary connector and all or part of the point support means comprise a capillary, compact one-piece unit (9, 13, 14) which is preferably produced by means of thermoplastic powder sintering.
