The raised edge of the cover has an undulating shape, with alternating projections and recesses, and is incline slightly inwards to hold the pot lids reliably in place. The distance between any two neighboring recesses in the raised cover edge is such that the pot lids are in close contact with one another when stored in the cover. For a circular yoghurt maker designed to receive seven pots, the cover is also basically circular in shape and made to receive a ring of six lids with a space in the middle for the seventh.
The invention concerns a household yogurt maker comprising a chamber (2) closed with a removable top cover (3) and comprising an electrical heating element (17), and several jars for preparing yogurt (8) comprising each a milk receptacle (10) arranged in the chamber (2) and designed to be closed with a lid (12) after the yogurts have been prepared. The invention is characterized in that the top cover (3) comprises means for storing the lids (12) of the jars while the yogurts are being prepared.
