Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the wear of a valve spring surely by contacting at least two dead winding coils to a closed body by the valve spring. SOLUTION: In a check valve for a high pressure pump for a combustion injection valve mechanism, a valve seat 29 formed conically and the guide section 32 of a valve spring 30 as the guide member of a vlave ball 28 and a lacked ball shaped contact surface 27 functioning as a stroke stopper are provided. When the valve is closed, the valve ball 28 as a closed body is pressed to the valve seat 29 by the valve spring 30 and when the pressure in a working room is increased upto a desired operation pressure, the presuure in a flow out passage 18 is increased and the valve ball 28 is pulled up from the valve seat 29 against the force of the valve spring 30 and the pressing force added in the valve room 21 by a medium and pressed to the contact surface 27. By the additional guide of the valve ball 28 by the valve seat 29 and the lacked ball shaped contact surface 27, the wear is prevented surely, as the valve spring 30 is not contacted to the side.
