The appts. to change the needle board, at a needle bonding machine, has a step conveyor (5) with carriers which act as centering pins (9), which engage centering bushes at the needle board (3). - The needle board (3) has two sets of centering bushes, with a gap between them of one-half the needle board length measured across the needle bonding machine width. The step conveyor (5) is set to give a movement step of one-half the board length. The centering pins (9) are on a common and adjustable carrier (8), at right angles to the feed plane of the insertion feed guide (2). The step conveyor (5) is operated according to the penetration depth of the centering pins (9) in the centering bushes at the needle board (3).
