Loom with Jacquard mechanism forming warp shed, includes fixed arcades of warp threads associated with electrical actuators controlled by unit in compartment intervening between warp planes

Warp thread (5) arcades (4) are controlled by electrical actuators (2) arrayed in rows and/or columns, forming two panels above the loom. A actuator supply and control unit (20) is accommodated in a compartment (22) defined between the panels. Preferred features: Two plates cover ends of the panels (A, B). One supports a fan controlling compartment and/or actuator temperature. This directs a current of cooling air towards the supply- and/or control unit and/or actuators. It creates a pressure in the compartment exceeding that of the surroundings. Panels form or include air circulation channels. A further chamber is included for cooling air pressurization, and is connected with the compartment and/or channels. Air holes are provided in both plates, for air entering and leaving. Panels are inclined towards each other and have an access opening (22a) for the compartment (22), at the top. Panels (A, B) are formed by casings (1) accepting the actuators (2), the casings being assembled together in rows and columns. The loom using the mechanism is also claimed.
