Rotary drive for screwing in marker stakes on slalom courses

A rotary drive unit for turning a rod (30) by the lateral gripping of this rod along its longitudinal axis. It consists of a rotary gripping sleeve (14,16) containing a central housing (17) for the reception of the rod, the rod being introduced through a slot (13,22) in the gripping sleeve so that it can be engaged anywhere along its length. The sleeve is driven by a tangential gear drive (2,2',9,24,25) which engages with teeth (27) on its periphery. This peripheral surface is interrupted by the introduction slot (13,22), but the drive contains at least two points of contact (26,26') which are separated one from the other by a distance greater than the introduction slot. Dispositif d'entraînement en rotation pour entraîner une tige (30) autour de son axe longitudinal par prise latérale comprenant : une douille de préhension rotative (14 ; 16) ayant un axe de central comportant un logement de préhension (17) destiné à accueillir ladite tige (30) de manière à confondre l'axe longitudinal et l'axe central, ladite douille comportant une fente d'introduction (13 ; 22) ayant une largeur permettant d'amener ladite tige (30) dans ledit logement (17) sans avoir à engager ladite tige par une de ses extrémités, des moyens d'entraînement tangentiel (2, 2', 9) pour entraîner ladite douille en rotation, lesdits moyens d'entraînement étant en contact d'entraînement (27) avec une surface périphérique d'entraînement solidaire de la douille de préhension, et interrompue par ladite fente (13 ; 22) , ledit contact d'entraînement comprenant au moins deux points de contact (26, 26') distants l'un de l'autre d'une longueur supérieure à la largeur de la fente d'introduction (13 ; 22) .
