Fixing device for securing fuel injector in cylinder head

The fixing device comprises a forked bracket (7), of which one extremity, in the form of a U-shape, has two parallel arms (9) which fit on to the body (6) of the fuel injector (1). The bracket is fixed to the cylinder head (3) by means of a threaded bolt (11) which fits into the hole (10) in the bracket and is screwed into the threaded hole in the cylinder head. The other end (15) of the bracket extends in the opposite direction to the forked end, and is supported on a pivot point from the cylinder head. This is in the form of a conical bearing surface (14) in the lower part of the end of the bracket and bears on to the spherical end (13) of the stud, projecting from the cylinder head.
