Zusammenfassung: | A gas insulated electric cable is divided into sections (T2-T4) by gas tight walls (C2-C5) and has a main outer sheath (E). An optical fibre cable (CPO) runs along the length of the sections between the outer sheath (E) and an inner aluminium screen (AL) passing through heat shrinkable joints (J2-J5). Arcing and temperature sensors (CL3,CT3) are installed in each section and connected in series with an individual optical fibre (FO3). The arcing sensor consists of an optical fibre coil on a glass tube and uses additional reflecting surfaces to increase it's sensitivity. The temperature sensor uses opposing springs whose stiffness varies differently according to temperature producing varying light conductivity. Means of recording light (P1,P2) are located at the end of a series of sections. |
