Zusammenfassung: | The arcing detector is fitted to a gas insulated cable that has transverse walls (C1,C2,...) at regular intervals along its entire length to form sealed cells (T1,T2,...). Each cell has a cylindrical steel outer enclosure (E) and a cylindrical aluminium screen (AL) inside the steel enclosure, and coaxial with it. An optical detector (CL1,CL2,...) is fitted to each cell and is coupled to an optical fibre (FO1,FO2,...). The optical fibre runs in the space between the outer steel enclosure and the aluminium screen. Photodetectors (P1,P2,...) are grouped at each end of the cable to monitor the light delivered from the detectors via the optical fibres. The detectors are pieces of fluorescent plastic fibre inserted in series in the optical fibres. |
