Lawn mower with blade rotating around vertical axis

The lawn mower consists of a driving vehicle (2), formed of a chassis and an engine. A cutting assembly (3) is carried on the chassis and driven by the engine. At least one blade, rotates around an axis, which is roughly perpendicular to the ground. The envelope of the volume described by the trajectory of the blade, is enclosed in a hood, formed from a vertical side casing (12). The casing is linked to a volute section (11), which is designed to eject the cuttings. The hood is also formed on a support structure (10), which is rigid and linked to the vehicle chassis. The structure carries the side panels and the volute section. The support structure is produced from a series of metallic tubes (13,14,27-30), which are connected together by means of metallic plates (35). The plates are designed to carry the axles of the cutters. The volute hood is manufactured in plastic and is mounted on to the support structure.
