Zusammenfassung:	The appts. includes a hollow towed body (10) preferably having stabilising elements (fins) (14,15) and fastened to a towing cable (12). The system also includes a transmitting antenna (16) integrated in the towed body (10). The antenna includes several electroacoustic transducers (17), spaced apart from each other. The transducers have directional characteristics. The transmitting antenna (16) is formed and controlled such that it transmits acoustic transmission signals, sepd. on either side of the towed body longitudinal axis (19) coincident with the towing direction (13). The transducers (17) are arranged vertically, one above the other. Each transducer (17) has an associated sound reflector (20). The reflectors (20) are radially spaced from the associated transducer (17) at the sides of the towing body (10) such that the sound reflectors (20) of successive transducers (17) lie alternately left and right of the longitudinal axis (19) of the towed body (10).
