The crate includes foldable stacking flaps (1) hinged to its opposite upper edges (2). This allows the crates to be arranged one on top of the other when the flaps are positioned against the ends (4) of the other two edges (5). With the flaps in a lifted position the crates can be located one inside the other. Each flap is made from a single strip of material and attached to the crate by a band (8) of thin flexible synthetic material to form an integral hinge. The crate is moulded from a single piece.
