Zusammenfassung:The vehicle seat back (1) is attached to the seat (2) by links (5, 6) and a double-ended catch (18) with its spring (19) engages pins in lugs (14, 16) with its hooks (15, 17) at the limits of its travel. A cam (13) attached to one link (5) unlocks a sliding member (9) attached to the seat and sliding on a fixed rail (12) attached to the floor of the vehicle. The catch rotates about its axis (20), attached to an extension of the seat back frame (3), and has two pins (23, 25) acted upon by a lever (21) to move the catch from one locking position to another. A rearward-facing child's seat (30) may be attached to the seat back when the seat back is in its forward position. USE/ADVANTAGE - The vehicle seat is easily converted for carrying adults when facing forward, and for children when facing rearward. The seat back may also be moved forward to give access to the rear passenger compartment, e.g. in two-door vehicles.
