Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a linear actuator including a main body and a screw/nut system, with a screw which is immobilised axially and which is driven in rotation by a motor reducing gear assembly by virtue of a coaxial pinion, and a nut which is integral with a guide rod sliding in the main body. In accordance with the invention, the rotational link between the screw (102) and the coaxial pinion (107) is provided by a coupling means (140) which can be disengaged, consisting, for example, of a plurality of radial fingers (110), and the decoupling of which is carried out in an emergency, in order to unlock the screw (102), by means of an associated actuating means, preferably in the form of a gas canister (130), triggering of which requires only very low energy.
