Method and device for the capture and reproduction of tapestries

The present invention relates to a method for the capture and reproduction of tapestries on canvas, these consisting of a set of points forming a front side and a back side, including, especially, the following steps: a) capture of the tapestry in the form of a video image, a point on the tapestry corresponding to at least one elementary point or pixel of the video image; b) superimposing, on the captured video image, a screen (frame), the intersections of which are in correspondence with the points on the tapestry; c) determining, for each intersection of the screen, the colour of the corresponding point on the tapestry; d) creating a first colour palette combining, in addition to a reference colour, at least all the colours available on the front side of the tapestry; e) assigning, to the colour defined at each intersection of the screen, one of the colours of this first palette, including the reference colour. It also relates to a tracing machine (4) and an automatic reproduction device (3), these being necessary for the implementation of this method. La présente invention concerne un procédé pour la saisie et la reproduction de tapisseries sur canevas, constituées d'un ensemble de points formant un recto et un verso, comportant notamment les étapes suivantes: a) saisie de la tapisserie sous la forme d'une image vidéo, un point de la tapisserie correspondant au moins à un point élémentaire ou pixel de l'image vidéo, b) superposition, à l'image vidéo saisie, d'une trame dont les intersections sont en correspondance avec les points de la tapisserie, c) détermination, pour chaque intersection de la trame, de la couleur du point de la tapisserie correspondant, d) création d'une première palette de couleur rassemblant outre une couleur de référence au plus toutes les couleurs disponibles au recto de la tapisserie, e) affectation, à la couleur déterminée à chaque intersection de la trame, de l'une des couleurs de cette première palette y compris la couleur de référence. Elle concerne également une machine de tracé (4) et un automate de reproduction (3) nécessaires à la mise en œuvre de ce procédé.
